Make Birth Better offer free online resources, to help you understand your birth trauma and how it affects you. These resources can support you as you work alongside a doula, or wait for access to NHS mental health services. They also offer training, and campaign for families affected by the medical system, birth trauma or loss.
They launched the ‘every word counts’ campaign in 2018. To bring awareness to how the words used throughout pregnancy and birth can affect labour, and the rest of a woman’s life.
The largest UK charity researching the causes and prevention of pregnancy complications, miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth.
A helpline ran by trained professional midwives, who can help you navigate your trauma or loss safely.
They offer tools for dealing with miscarriage, for family and helping your partner through loss. The option to share your story and help other women who have also experienced similar, to reflect in a safe spaces.
